Born and raised near Shenyang, China, I moved to Southern California at the age of 14. It was near the beautiful beaches of Redonda Beach that my love for a mix of the traditional and modern design was fostered by the contemporary LA culture. The creative environment helped me explore and embrace my artistic nature. I first attended Art Center College of Design for Product Design, but my passion and love for the artistry of hair quickly led me to the Toni & Guy Academy where I found myself in my element.
